dailyM 115: International Day of Yoga
We have a lot to celebrate this coming Friday, June 21st. It’s International Day of Yoga! The theme this year is Yoga for Peace. This is celebrated around the world, highlighting the great gifts and aspects of a yoga practice. All classes are free so bring your friends, family, neighbors. We’ll have pop-up shops throughout the day, a Yoga Q&A with several teachers, and a Bikram Basics class open to everyone. I’ll be teaching the 4:30 pm class, and I’m excited to be sharing with you a very special announcement after that, at 6:30 pm. I hope you can join us!

dailyM 114: The Benefits of Posture Clinics
This dailyM is intended to encourage you to go to a posture clinic offered by your yoga studio. Those are some of the times you get to learn a little bit more about the postures than you would in class. You can learn about all the nuances by all these amazing teachers that travel to do this.

dailyM 113: Special Talk at Bikram Yoga Folsom: The Power of this Yoga
Earlier this month I led a special class, posture clinic, and talk at Bikram Yoga Folsom. I spoke about the yoga practice, my insights, expertise, and wisdom from 20 years of doing yoga. It was a very profound class, and the questions from the students were quite interesting. It brought up a lot of great value about what this yoga does and what it pulls out in us.

dailyM 112: The Nature of Transformation
My Insights for this month are based on my experience with Craig Villani’s recent teacher workshop here at BYSJ. The theme was Transformational Leadership. It was a great time for reflection, and I think you’ll find it relatable to you and your practice. We’re here to transform, to love who we are. And that love is also poking us and pushing us to be ALL of who we are.

dailyM 111: Connecting Through Gratitude
Invoking gratitude is an exercise to get into your heart and spirit where a genuine connection lies. It provides nourishment for the things in life that continue to inspire you. Our daily yoga practice benefits significantly as a result. Gratitude is really the softness, the intangibles of our lives, and those are the things that keep our hopes and dreams alive.
“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, and confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.” – Melody Beattie
